There you were, minding your own business, exploring a cave system or wandering through a structurally unsound building or whatever it is you do for fun (hey, no judgement here), when by sabotage or natural disaster or plain old fashioned bad luck, suddenly it's collapsing all around you.

Tough break.

1. H/C options

Claustrophobia. Some people don't do too well with tight spaces, particularly when the way out just disappeared in a cloud of dust and rubble. Hopefully whoever's down there with you can help keep you calm.

Injury. Broken bones and blunt force trauma, oh my! Turns out collapsing chunks of ceiling are bad for the health. Who saw that coming.

BONUS ROUND: HEAD INJURY. Who am I, where am I, where the hell did this headache come from? Whether they've got a concussion or full-on plot-convenient amnesia, there's one thing to remember - keep them talking, and don't let them fall asleep.

BONUS ROUND: HYPOTHERMIA. Because it's not a H/C options section without the classic huddling-for-warmth trope.

Mission Failed. Well you may be in one piece, but whatever you were trying to achieve before you got trapped? Doomed. As long as you're going nowhere, might as well dwell on the consequences of your failure.

2. ACTION options

We need to go deeper. The way you came in is gone? Well that only leaves you one option. Better keep exploring, and hope there's a back way out everyone just forgot to mention...

BONUS ROUND: Shit, too deep. What do you mean you forgot to mark the way you came as you passed? You're lost? Well shit.

We're not alone in here... You hear that? Footsteps just a little too out-of-sync with your own, and-- was that a whisper of a breeze or something breathing...?

Dig for freedom! Wait for rescue? Pah! We don't need no stinkin' rescue. You can dig your own way out thank-you-very-much.

The next round. Whatever just brought everything crashing down round you? Whether it was explosion or earthquake, there's another one coming - you may have survived last time, but better get the hell out before round two or you might not be so lucky.

The show must go on. You're in one piece, so whatever you were trying to achieve before you got trapped? You're going to damn well achieve it, come hell or high water.

3. OBLIGATORY SMUT option

'cause you crazy kids are gonna stick it in there (pun absolutely intended) one way or another

4. WILDCARD option

Whatever. I'm a meme, not a cop.

comments

Nagito and his former classmates all knew most of the Future Foundation was less than fond of them. And anyway, this sort of thing happening to Nagito specifically is even less surprising. Having to run, getting separated from the rest of his former class, that's all the usual sort of bad luck he's dealt with all his life. Really, to have the bad luck be the cause of the situation is overall beneficial; it means the good luck will come in the midst of handling the situation.

But. Makoto is here as well. Given his role in the Remnants' rehabilitation, that he'd have to run isn't really the terrible part. It's that in the chaos Makoto has ended up with him when he could have been with Hajime or Kyoko or really anyone more capable of keeping Makoto safe.]

I really am sorry my bad luck had to attach itself to you like this! [This is not the first time Nagito has tried to apologize for this situation.] These things happen, but to get in the way of the Super High School Level Hope's plans like this, it's really shameful of me!

[Nagito has only a very general idea of where they are--when you're escaping it isn't really the best use of time to try and differentiate between alleyways and rubble more than you have to in order to make sure you're not going in circles--but he's not especially worried about that part. He's lucky, after all. He'll end up where his luck puts him.]

comments

Congratulations: You are dead.

Maybe you know how, maybe you don't. Perhaps the memory is fuzzy, or perhaps it's crystal clear down to the look in your comrades' eyes. Maybe it was your time; you've done all you wanted to. Or maybe you weren't at all ready to go, maybe you went out kicking and screaming - but none of it matters. You know you're dead, and the train is taking you to an afterlife. Perhaps an afterlife of your choice; you might've earned that heaven. Or perhaps you've earned something else entirely.

It'll be a bit of a journey, though, so you might as well take your time and talk to the other people in your coach. Death knows no place: most of them are strangers, even from faraway worlds. But death knows no time either, so who knows, some of them may be people you know, even if last you knew, they were alive - or long gone.

Oh look, here comes the snack cart.

comments

Alphys has assured everyone involved (and some people not involved who just happened to be in apology range) that she can fix it, but it's going to take some time, and until then something needs to be done with Sans. That thing, of course, is to hand him off to Papyrus.

Sans has been put into proper clothes, mostly--so far, he's insisted on keeping his hoodie, and even though Sans fully grown was short, as a six-year-old, he's kind of swimming in it. So far he's been quiet and dubious about everything he's been told, except for when he stepped outside and was quiet and somewhere between overwhelmed and awestruck by being outside. He seems to have gotten over it, though. Now... Well, apparently he's home. And he gives Papyrus, much like he's given everyone, a very dubious look.]

You're really my brother? [This isn't the first time Sans has asked that, nor is it the first time Papyrus has gotten that look today.]

comments

Alright, it wasn't as if they had meetings every week, but they certainly seemed unending. After another long plane trip, Lithuania had been looking forward to having a bed, any bed, to lay down in. He'd shared hotel rooms with Poland plenty of times before, and lived with the other nation in the past besides; he didn't expect to have any trouble beyond the kind that always accompanied Poland. Of course, that was before he got into the hotel room and saw one bed. King-sized, admittedly, but still. One.]

Is this the right room? [As if the keycard would have gotten him into just any room.]

comments

Whatever the case may be, you're in a position that may be a bit dicey if you attract the wrong kind of attention.

And you're a bodyguard, a soldier, a knight - a protector. Somehow, you've been roped into protecting this person. You'll be rewarded, of course. The work may be cut out for you, but just do your job, keep your head down, and it'll go smooth.

Except for when the two of you break the bounds of professionalism and feelings begin to flourish. Being in such close quarters may get you to see the other in a different light, and saving someone's life just may be the ultimate form of intimacy.

Could this be the real danger? To feel so strongly for the one you've sworn to protect...are you compromised?

How to Play

1. Comment with your character and preferences, being sure to put if you want to play the guard, the guarded, or either. Also, you may want to put if you prefer fluffy, angsty, or smutty interaction - or have no preference.
2. Comment to others.
3. There are no prompts, because there are so many potential options there could be a hundred. Feel free to play anything: the beginnings of the relationship, just meeting, getting used to each other/not getting along at first, the obligatory first time, a threat on the protected's life and how their protector responds, how the feelings between the two has changed the protection, etc. Your only limit is you.

Treading water with fluttering movements that betray signs of a child who isn't used to spending quite this much time in the ocean, Frisk reaches for the nearest kelp stalk and clings on to it in the hopes it will support their weight and allow them to rest, at least for a little while.

It really is getting dark, though. They can't see the bottom of the kelp forest anymore. But surely someone else must be out here, right? Slowly, Frisk weaves through the kelp, leapfrogging from one stalk to the next. It doesn't occur to them to call out telepathically; hopefully they don't run into anyone who's easily startled.]

comments

Even with her emotions roiling inside her, she can't feel the ice in her fingers, but she keeps her gloves on nonetheless, having put them on every day since she arrived. She has to be sure that curse doesn't come back and catch her by surprise.

Walking slowly through the streets, hands folded neatly in front of her to keep them out of the way, she finds herself slipping through the crowd with mumbled apologies and excuse mes as she tries not to run into anyone. Being so close to so many people is at once thrilling and terrifying, and she's starting to think she should have stayed in Vandere.

The smell of candy and chocolate catches her attention, though, and draws her to one window in particular. It appears to be a high-quality candy shop, and Elsa can't help but stop and look longingly through the window. She doesn't have any money here, so there's not much she can do except look.
